Determining the time of ovulation is the prime factor to conceive a girl. You should know the times when you ovulate. The doctor’s recommendation is to have sex two to three days before ovulation. To find the exact time when you are going to ovulate you can use ovulation prediction kits. Your body releases LH (Luteinizing Hormone), a precursor to ovulation, and this kit can easily detect it. You should have sex often from the end of the period but if you want to get pregnant it is better if you start two to three days before ovulation.
The foods you eat can also have a high correlation between its effect and your baby’s gender. You need to consume a nutritious diet if you want to get pregnant with a girl. Food has an effect on the vaginal acidity and the PH balance. The sperm that produces boy is much weaker and shorted lived than the sperm that produces a girl. You should eat a diet high in acidic foods like cranberries, corn, fish, plums, prunes, meats etc. and devoid of alkaline food like orange juice, potatoes, spinach, and watermelon etc.
Also try to consume calcium containing items such as dairy products, like milk, cheese and yogurt and magnesium containing foods like beans, legumes, leafy green foods etc. Avoid those foods which contains potassium, for example – banana. You should also give up the habit of alcohol and avoid caffeine like coffee, tea and cola drinks, etc.
Most of us think that there is no relation between sexual position and getting pregnant with a baby. It may be confusing but it is true. Dr. Landrum B. Shettles, who has written a book on the subject of gender selection, put emphasis on the importance of sexual position regarding selection of gender whether you want a girl or a boy. He suggested that to get pregnant with a girl a shallow penetration from your partner specifically indicated with the missionary position. It helps to send or place the sperm closer to the entrance to the vagina. It is that are which is more acidic than closer to cervix and acidity will work against the boy sperm leaving more girl sperm available to fertilize your egg. Dr. Shuttle’s also suggest women not to orgasm. If it is done the vaginal environment becomes more alkaline and less acidic which is disadvantageous to the girl sperm.
Frequency of sex is important. To increase the chance of getting pregnant with a girl you should have sex on particular days. It will be better from the end of the period up to two to three days before ovulation. But don’t have unprotected sex until several days past ovulation after that time. You should not orgasm during sex as the body produces substances after orgasm. The reason behind is that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the “boy” sperm.
