How To Get Pregnant With A Boy
Many couples have a wish for a certain gender when they get pregnant. Maybe they already have 3 boys in their family and they want a girl or maybe they already have 3 girls and they want a boy. No matter what the reason, many couples have a preference of wanting either a girl or a boy when they get pregnant and while nature will have it’s way there are some things you can do that may increase the chances of having a boy.
Science tells us that within the sperm there are male sperm, which produce a boy, and female sperm, which will produce a girl. These two types of sperm react quite differently. They female sperm tends to be stronger, slower and lives longer while the male sperm tend to be faster, a bit weaker and they do not live as long. Therefore the timing of your intercourse in relation to ovulation is very important if you want to have a boy.
If you want to have a boy you need to have intercourse very close to the time that you ovulate or immediately after. That way the faster male sperm will have a better chance of fertilizing the egg. If you have intercourse a day or two ahead of ovulation, the stronger girl sperm will be more likely to fertilize the egg. Sperm can live up to 2 or 3 day inside the vagina (with female sperm outliving the male sperms) and around the fallopian tubes. If you want a boy, you need to have intercourse closer to ovulation time so that the speedy boy sperms will outrun the slower girl sperms.
Along with the timing of intercourse close to the time of ovulation, if you want a boy, the man should take care not to ejaculate for 4 to 5 days prior. This is ensure that the sperm is plentiful and the quick male sperms will be able to fertilize the egg. Also the male should be sure to avoid hot baths, cycling or anything else that can reduce sperm count. The male should keep his scrotum on the cool side as heat is known to reduce sperm count.
Another key factor to gender selection seems to be the woman’s PH balance. Typically a more alkaline PH level is more conducive to having a boy while a more acidic balance is more conducive to having a girl. The PH balance of your entire body including the vagina is largely affected by the food that you eat. Eat more alkaline foods, such as spinach, broccoli and other non-starchy vegetables.
During intercourse, it is good if the woman has an orgasm if she wishes to have a boy as that will also make the vagina more alkaline. It is the opposite for a girl, if she wants a girl she should avoid orgasm.
Since the male sperm tends to be weaker, the sexual position should encourage the deepest penetration. That way the faster, less resilient male sperm will then have less distance to travel in order to get to the egg.
While all of these things can help you to be more likely to give birth to a boy, sometimes nature has it’s own ideas. There are no guarantees but the most important thing to conceive a boy is the timing of intercourse in relation to ovulation. Good Luck.
